Radiography (X-ray)

X-ray examinations (radiographs) have been widely used and trusted for years and remain at the center of diagnostic imaging. At Eastern Radiologists, our skilled professionals use the latest in digital radiography. This technology provides the reliability and clarity needed to see inside your body and quickly determine your condition.

A cornerstone in imaging.

Even with all the advanced exams that Eastern Radiologists offers, radiography, or X-ray, remains an integral part of medical imaging and a tool we take seriously. Our radiography rooms use advanced digital technology rather than traditional film. This means your exam can quickly be reviewed for quality and sent to one of our board-certified radiologists for interpretation. The versatility of radiography allows for evaluation of virtually any body part and is frequently the first imaging study performed for a variety of conditions. In some cases, no further imaging is needed. But if additional evaluation is required, you can rest easy knowing that Eastern Radiologists has you covered, from the latest in imaging technology to the highly trained technologists and radiologists who will work with your doctor to determine next steps.

Radiographs are particularly useful because they can assess problems across much of the body. From recognizing fractures in bones, joint dislocations or other skeletal damage to pinpointing the cause behind persistent breathing problems, radiographs remain one of the most versatile radiologic examinations available.

Your comfort is our primary concern. We strive to make each radiography exam quick, easy and painless. During your procedure, the area of your body to be observed is positioned next to a digital image receptor. Within an instant, X-rays are passed through the body and an image is produced. The entire process is performed by our highly specialized technologists, ensuring the utmost in safety and accuracy.

Following the examination, we will promptly send your images, along with our report, to the healthcare provider who requested the exam. They will contact you to share the results.
